Re-thinking and taking stock has always been part of my life when shocked into an abrupt stop. These work are the result of sorting and re-imagining left-overs, scraps and parts of previous works. These tend to portray, not only my own state of mind, but also those of family and friends. I call these series 'Unlikely'- inspired by the words: "In the unlikely event of..." something unthinkable happening.

I feel a very close bond with what we call 'nature', and I have always longed to re-connect with what we are actually part of. Somehow we managed to drift away from considering ourselves as part of nature.

"Our natural instincts..., would undoubtedly bid us to be suspicious, if not afraid, of nature."

We are now under attack by a virus, by nature. It is uprooting our securities and plans like nothing I ever experienced in my lifetime. And maybe this fear or rather instinct to survive, may just be the most natural thing we did in some time.
